Just out this weekend. Strongly recommend if you like her music or if you like docu flicks. Three reasons:
1. Music. Not a concert film but there is a lot of music, usually full songs, often with the lyrics shown from her original notes. And the lyrics take on a bigger role given her story.
2. Probably no other film I've ever seen illustrates the enormous difference between the popular public perception of an artist and the reality of their personal lives. In this case, what the paparazzi created versus what is shown in her family and friend's home movies.
3. Definitely a "candle in the wind" arc to her story. This is the music business using a person like squeezing an orange and she wasn't equipped for that. Very powerful film in that way.
