Simple question (I think)...I'm part of a Christian organization that does NO fundraising or donations (Bible study more like what we do). We are doing a dinner for ourselves and our spouses, which requires a caterer. The caterer has to charge tax on his services, of course. THE QUESTION: Is it legal for an individual to let us use his 501(c)3 certificate to NOT have to pay the taxes to the caterer? (no fundraising, no political actions involved, etc.)
