The cover story of Wisconsin beating Oregon State 35-0 in '11 got me thinking, "Didn't Oregon State return the favor the next year?" So I looked up the game, and saw that Oregon State did indeed beat them, 10-7, at home that year. This was the year we beat Wisky early in the year at home, 30-27. And then, of course, they completely clobbered us in the B1G championship, 470-21.
Even though the first half of the game against Ohio State the previous year ('11) had me really concerned about Bo, when we got completely manhandled against Ohio State, and then Wisconsin, I was done with Bo. Giving up 68 and 70 points to two conference foes was a return to Cosgrovian defenses, and we waited 2 years too long to get rid of that sack of crap. He should have never been allowed to get on the plane back to Lincoln after that Wisconsin drubbing.
Anyway, I remember thinking back then, for Riley and company to not only win, but hold that Wisconsin team to 7 points, was pretty impressive. Anytime you can beat a Bielema-coached team, you deserve props IMO.
Edit - It sure would be nice to see that type of defensive performance tomorrow. I'm speaking of Banker's '12 performance...not Bo's.
