Oregon Coach Dan Lanning has warning for the Big Ten

I do think it will be more of a struggle for UCLA & USC than Washington & Oregon long term. I think They can all assimilate more like Penn State did than Nebraska due to their current state.

No one besides maybe UCLA will struggle as much as Nebraska did joining the Big Ten imo. Nebraska's failures are far less what the BIG did and more on what Nebraska didn't do.
Watching USC get beat twice last year by Utah, makes me think they will struggle more than most think.

Utah plays like a Big Ten school and couple that with the fact that USC will likely have to play cold / snowy road games in November which will create challenges for their offense.

Yup that's about right coming from the Wimpy 12. Oregon doesn't have the size, power or strength for Lanning to be talking his shit. Oregon wouldn't be top 10 or anywhere near it with a B1G schedule. To be honest when Oregon gets here this conference is going to physically beat them into oblivion and quite a few of these teams in the B1G have just as much speed as they do.
Not Iowa though. I still remember Trey Palmer lol.

Oregon just beat ohiost in Columbus in a relative down year

Something like zero B1G teams have done that in a decade

my sense is that the b10 is top heavy and way overrated based on last year's cfp. the sec is clearly #1 top to bottom although their bottom is bad too. the p12 #2 although we'll see what happens in south bend tomorrow for clarification. then the other three in a coin flip based on matchups.

Scott took over a Mike Riley’s team and made it worse.
Riley was in charge of the quickest and most effective draining of talent from a football program possibly in history...

....will forever be convinced that Eichorst was a Trojan horse sent by Wisconsin meant to destroy our football program for a decade, at least. Worked really well. He hired Riley.

same UCLA that currently possesses a top 5 defense in the country?

from where I sit UCLA's football and hoops teams look like they'll require the least adjustment to their new league.

that said, I'm sure they'll still hate it because who doesn't/what's to like

(Oregon's D is currently 6th in the country in yards allowed/game)

The drain started with Pelini. Riley wasn't able to fix it.

Ah yes, the Central Florida McKenzie Milton's.

I expect Oregon to immediately be one of the best teams in the conference. B1G will soon be the deepest division by far.
Alabama = Ohio State
Georgia = Michigan
Texas = USC
Oklahoma = Oregon (Should be Nebraska)
LSU = Penn State
Tennessee = Nebraska (The Has Beens with street cred)
Auburn = Washington
Kentucky = UCLA (Basketball Schools)
Missouri = Iowa
Florida = Wisconsin
Mississippi State = Purdue
Arkansas = Illinois
South Carolina = Maryland
Vanderbilt = Rutgers
Ole Miss = Michigan State
Texas A&M = Minnesota
Northwestern > Nobody
Indiana > Nobody

I think they are both comparable, and if Nebraska ever gets good again Oregon and Nebraska switch spots

No, more like they’re going to hate going to Bloomington, Piscataway and Lafayette. They’ll be fine wins and losses.

The B1G has a way of making teams get down in the dirt with them and play their style of football. I don't know how they do it but when you're on the same field it's a little different. It's going to be interesting to see how all 4 teams adjust especially after losing their QBs next season.

Exactly. There's just something about it, and I'm done trying to argue the legitimacy of whatever it is lol

Frost took over a Mike Riley team and made it worse. Eichorst true genius was to play voodoo mind tricks on Ronnie Green and Bill Moos and get them to hire Frost. Frost over saw the most effective draining of talent from a football program in history. The record doesn't lie.

Dude Riley was the worst Nebraska coach of all time. He wanted to hurt us. Frost just inexplicably didn’t care.

Pellllini had been draining that talent for several years.

But they became even weaker under Scott Frost. That's 100% on Scott Frost.
SF didn’t realize you have to play 3 phases of the game to win..

I’d agree if the head coach no longer cared to win why would the players..
Seen a different attitude when Joesph took over last year..

Mile Riley was a terrible hire and made zero sense. But Frost was so much worse. Absolutely a disaster compared to Riley.

I actually hope that the pac 12 schools change the boring big 10. except for Ohio st the rest of the conference is boring I’d rather watch a turtle race than watch Iowa vs Minnesota.
Pretty sure that’s the style of football MR is trying to coach our squad into. Yes those teams are boring but they run the ball, stop the run and play good defense and thats proven to be a pretty good recipe to win games in this league especially when you don’t have top notch talent
