The defense seems to becoming less tentative and confused. Someone made a post showing that BD's defense at ND started poorly and then steadily got better. Thats seems to be what is happening here.
The offense seems to be in panic mode, but if it stops turning the ball over, then we could have a pretty good team. The issue is that our OL gets confused in pass blocking and the QB gets hit a lot. NIU seemed to know what play we where gonna run and blitzed whenever we decided to pass. The OC needs to come up with a better game plan and become less predictable. The OC cannot abandon the run, because our OL cannot handle blitzes. Hopefully the OC will fix this.
