Wisconsin has 19 commits right now (we have 10). Of which 4 are WR's, 2 other are ATH's who are WR sized (I don't know where they will play), and 1 OL. The OL is an out of state 3* with a similar build as Cade Beresford.

Is Chryst bananas or running a good ship? Is Chryst abandoning the run game? Discuss.

Yeah I noticed that last night. Yes I know that stars aren't EVERYTHING but Rivals is pretty damn accurate with their rankings and going off their rankings, I like how wisky is recruiting. I hope them and Iowa keep recruiting at this level and we do the same.

Alvarez is prepping a move to the B12.

Quite honestly I think UW is putting together a solid class. They've never been a top tier recruiting school. I hope we keep outpacing them as well.

Chryst, or any head coach at Wisconsin the last 20 years, has essentially earned the right to not be questioned on any recruiting strategy. They get RESULTS, plain and simple, and they play PHYSICAL football, on both sides of the ball.

Nice troll attempt though! I love the "discuss" part.

True but I'm not sold on PC and players like Watts (who has an insane bloodline), Biegle (sp), and Ryan Ramczyk were recruited by the prior staff(s). And wisky has always landed a few 4 stars in their classes and they have one 4 star as of right now. They obviously do a great job of getting the most out of their talent but unless the entire staff is made up of the best dang talent evaluators/play developers these 3 stars and 2 stars are going to catch up to them...I hope.

And they've beaten NU in the last 2 years by extremely small margins in the last seconds of the game.

Folks panicking because Riley isn't stocking up on OL in a year we *knew* was skill position heavy, really have no basis to stand on. Whether its needs of the NU roster, or "the way Wisconsin recruits".

Thank you. I was laughing at Bahe and his Iowa friend on 1620 yesterday talking about Bryson and how a team that "has dominated you" stole a recruit from Lincoln. Dominated?? Yeah maybe during the Bo years but the last 2 years it came down to the final seconds and if not for the worst NO CALL PI on Westy last year, Riley is 1-1 vs Wisky.

You are able to listen to Bahe? I don't even know how he has a radio show. I mean, they pay him to do that. Which is amazing.

Yes the Pelini years did a number on a number of folks apparently.

Well he has a baby show. He gets the two hours between the other 2 shows. And he used to fill it by having Ruud do a large chunk of the talking.

Like I said, trolling. Don't put out "discuss" when you are clearly on one side and just want to refute the other.

I've shown I'm willing to change my mind if folks have data to support.

Right now, available evidence doesn't support our scholarship distribution being detrimental to the future of our offense as has been posited by several here. Even when compared to the current Kings of the Division.

"I'd like see" or "I prefer" is not data.

Looking at the scholarship breakdown between the two schools (including 2018 class with commits like W Farniok fir NU), Wisconsin has 13 scholarships devoted to O Line while Nebraska has 18.
Last year the same database showed 20 schollies for UW O line. I feel like something is missing here with the current numbers. Maybe Wisconsin is counting on developing walk ones into the two deep and bumping back towards 20 or 18 like Nebraska?
When Wisconsin starts de-valuing their o line, I will believe it when I see it. I am not worried about a one year anomaly until proven otherwise they have been very stout and great at identifying and developing lineman

lol yeah sometimes; I can't stand when he's talking Creighton but days like yesterday I love listening to him and his Iowa friend talk down about Nebraska. You gotta have some haters on the radio so when we win the west this year, it's that much sweeter.

I can't stand Bishop and Peterson in the afternoon. Holy crap they're bad, IMO. They constantly play that Steve Carell sound bite of him yelling NOOO! ( I think it's from the office?) and it's the most annoying thing I've ever heard. They played it 3 times in 60s yesterday and I shut off the radio. Plus their takes on sports are abysmal. My buddies and I have 10x the knowledge about sports than they do yet they get paid the big bucks.

I'd imagine before the cycle is done, Wiscy will probably try for at least another OL or two. :)

I can't post the link from a competitor's website otherwise I would have linked it for you Tuco

If I get time later I will just post the schollie breakdown for both teams
Or maybe somebody can do this homework in the meantime

I was talking about the "why do so many of their 5 stars flop" comment.

Sorry about that.

as far as the breakdown goes, it really isn't that important, to me, in the overall scheme of things.

If I'm a power running, pro style offense like Wisconsin, I would expect more OL, less WR and maybe an additional RB.

Alabama will probably have a different scholarship distribution than Clemson.

TCU will probably have more DBs on scholarship and less LBs running a base 4-2-5 than Nebraska or Wisconsin do running a base 3-4.

I am more interested in seeing what this staff's distribution looks like from year to year and going forward. Especially after the dust settles and the previous staff's players have fully cycled.

They don't get paid "big bucks". It's pretty average money.
