# of days after sCUm bowl game does the HC resign?

I think him staying at CU for 2025 is the most likely outcome.

He would leave if the NFL called. Or a college job with deep NIL pockets. But if neither of those happen, I could see him continuing to market himself with the plan of getting into the CFP next year. He’s not going to just quit and do nothing.

What was he doing before he was hired being the head coach at that black college?

Sanders will leave Colorado when he's offered a significantly better job. That puts him squarely in the same camp as 100% of current college head coaches.

And while I'm really not a fan of Deion because he's a showboating blowhard, he's going to leave the Buffs' program in a helluva lot better shape than he found it. That hasn't happened at NU in this century.

They were 1-11 try again.

Guy is a complete asshat with nobodies interests but his own at stake.

It is all about Prime 24/7/365. He now lives vicariously through Shedeur and Shiloh. Hell, most people don't even know his kids names, just that they are Prime's kids.

While he was an incredible athlete for the ages, it has always been about himself and nobody else. The guy is faker than fake. Always has been. Always will be.

Follow the money.

He was not making the bank that he is now with all of his promotions. And that has really taken off now that he has credibility of being a successful, big-time coach.

And he can reload to keep it going after Shedeur/Hunter. He marketed Hunter to a Heisman over Jeanty. And he could have top overall NFL picks #1 and #2. That impresses top talent.

Deion doesn't bother me, but if he really wants a legacy coaching football, he should stay at cu and see if he can prosper AFTER his superstars leave the program this year.
He's not going to have any issue continuing to sign superstars. He just signed Julien Lewis. He doesn't bother me either, at least he doesn't bother me any more than Ferentz, the boat rower, fatso Bielema or any other number of coaches at programs I'd like Nebraska to beat more than 25% of the time. I'd take any coach that can turn a program from 1-11 to 9-3 in two years.

No coach bothers me. I don’t even know them, personally.

Wait, I’m wrong. Matt Rhule, and the rest of the clowns we’ve hired have bothered me. Opposing coaches? Not so much.

Coach K used to bother me too. I hated that sniveling mother ****er. And I have no reason to if we’re being honest

If Dieon is gonna jump this is the year to jump. I don’t think CU will be as good next year as they were this year, but you also have to have better job that wants you. Not sure who is gonna want Prime that’s significantly better than CU? Contrary to others in this thread. Jerry has said he’s bringing Mike McCarthy back next year and Shaduer will more than likely go to the Raiders. A lot can and will change in the next 3-6 months, but I just don’t see anyone knocking down Prime’s door and backing up the brinks truck. Might be some lateral moves out there for him, but a significant upgrade? I don’t see it right now.

I thought he would bounce at the end of the year after the Husker game, but they rebounded and did a nice job for the rest of the year. Added a stud Qb this recruiting cycle. I think he stays, and deservedly so. Dude straight changed my mind this season.

I must be the only person on this board who kind of likes Deion. I think he has done a good job at CU. That place was a dumpster fire before he got there. And I don’t mind his showboating. Most of it seems unserious and kind of cheeky to me.

I actually like him also. I think it's funny that he lives so rent free in some people's head that they can't or won't even acknowledge that he's done a good job turning CU around. In most cases it almost seems personal even though I'm sure about 99.9% of the people the can't stand him don't know him at all.

Are his sons easy to dislike? For sure. Especially Shadeur. But Deion doesn't bother me at all.

If he’s offered an NFL coaching/executive job with the team that drafts Shedeur, then he takes it.

But if not, CU won’t be playing on Sunday. So Deion can still see him play in person for most games.

He’s making a lot of money with his profile, and being talked about more than anybody for months of the season. He is monetizing that.

CU is a paper tiger. They wil take a few steps back next year. Replacing Shadeur and Travis Hunter won’t happen overnight if ever. They were very fortunate to have a such a soft schedule.

They have a 5 star qb coming in. Cant replace Travis Hunter but will still have plenty of WRs.

Sure, but the 2022 Buffs would have gone 0-12 against this schedule and lost most of them by 20+ points.

CU’s turnaround was 100% because they switched conferences. They went from playing a legit schedule to having 5-7 KU and 6-6 Nebraska be the best teams they played (and they lost both).

If he wants to keep being a HC, Im not sure where he goes. Im sure he planned to parlay Travis and his sons into a better job, but there just aren’t many out there right now.

He’s never coached a team that doesn’t have his own kids on it, so maybe he just decides he’s done, but I don’t see any other, better HC options for him this year.

Maybe. I’m guessing Deion won’t be sitting around Boulder on Sundays next fall, either, most proud dad’s would do the same. Will he be disciplined enough however to not allow 1 day away from Boulder to start being 2 to 3 days away? We’ll see.

No he can’t a HC has to be in town on Sunday. You have players meeting and recruits .

He won’t be Shadeur Sanders. I’m not a fan of his antics, but he’s a tremendous talent and seasoned. A new qb, no matter how many stars won’t even be close.

He’ll stay for next year.

They’ll be in the middle of a skid and reports of “health issues” will begin making the rounds.

He’ll be able to bow out after the season with relative grace.
