So I hope the below pictures show up and I am going to test it first. Then I will post story below!!

So June 18 I had my motorhome in McCook and insanity ensued. I was parked and up on jacks (very high to do maintenance) and slides out. I had maintenance to do underneath and luckily it had rained the night before so I started working inside the motorhome to let it dry out. I was down at the free campground on the east side of McCook about 100 yards off the highway, literally, parked as far from the highway as possible just to take advantage of the shade there. I had parked my pickup behind (southside) and to the rear of the coach so I could access truck to unit easy. After an hour of work, my mom came by to see how things were going. We were standing in the living room just visiting and chillin’.
It is hard to believe, but out of nowhere and neither of aware, the motorhome went off like a bomb exploded and I remember the floor coming at me. All I knew is that we had been blown up or crushed and I could not find my mom after getting slammed into ceiling, breaking cabinets above the sink and landing in the sink. I came to my senses after getting knocked out for a bit and found my mom about 15 feet from the motorhome as she had been ejected out the side door. She is a walking miracle, Thank you Lord, as she is 70 and went out the door, missed the tailgate on my truck by a foot and landed in edge of woods without breaking a bone. She is tough! The motorhome was moved about 5 feet laterally and was airborne for a short time as it landed on my pickup. Without the pickup catching the motorhome, my mother would have been crushed by the motorhome going over 90 degrees unobstructed. The power pole I was plugged into came through the wall right below the microwave and above the stove missing me by a foot or so. After I made sure my mom was still alive, and she was stunned, shocked and could not breathe well, but alive, I went around in a fury to see what the hell had happened. The first thing I could see was two tire tracks from the highway in a slow arc, from the highway, and on a direct line right into our motorhome. Further around the corner I discovered a ¾ ton Ford Super Duty Diesel stuck in the side of my motorhome. I later learn that the truck was estimated at 50+ mph by police.
I was so confused, but with the information I had and the distance from the highway, the only conclusion was that it was an intentional act. Nothing made sense and when I opened the door, I thought the steam from the motor and smoke from the truck airbag was a fire brewing so I removed the guy, for his safety, from the truck and held him till police and EMS could arrive as I could not make sense of what was going on and he did not know either. I just thought he may have killed my mom and I was so jacked up on adrenaline that I am just glad I acted rationally, and that was God not me, as my first instinct was to totally neutralize the threat that just did this to us.
Well it ends up the driver is from McCook area and it is reported has an adverse health and seizure history. I am grateful that he was okay, also. I am told multiple accidents and seizures have onset, in recent years, after a period of being seizure free for a number of years. He had an event of some type near Holdrege, on April 10, 2016, and piled up a pickup and a 5th wheel camper he was pulling where no one was hurt. That April accident was covered by Kearney NTV or is at least on their website. We are trying to figure out how he had a license, how he had insurance and why he was driving with the history our insurance company is uncovering and the here say around town.
Very grateful for the way things worked out. Everyone is going to be ok given time to heal from physical and emotional wounds. Just wanted to share a crazy story on a slow Sunday. If anyone from our area is familiar with the situation and has any info to help us understand the history of the individual that hit us please drop me an email at Corey@r2hs.com .
Thanks to all the police and EMS of McCook they did a phenomenal job of securing what was a dangerous and unknown situation. The emergency care was top notch and the whole anti-cop movement just pisses me off.
