you are getting owned! One example your souvenir cups at pinnacle bank compared to Creightons. My son attended a Creighton game with a friend and came home with a very cool pop cup. Even I, who despises Creighton, thought the cups were cool. This weekend we attended the girls state basketball tourney. My son was mainly looking forward to getting a souvenir cup from the game and even brought his own money to buy one. As we approached the concession stand my son saw them gawd awful boring N cups and decided to spend his money on ice cream instead! Needless to say he now has a damn Creighton cup in his room to put his change in and I have to look at it every time I go in there! Get creative for pete's sake! Even going in the mall, UNO, Creighton and everyone else has cool sh..! We need to focus on an overhaul on our brand!!

Nice rant, and I agree a bit. NU does not control that. I wish they could, and also get the popcorn that you could get in Devaney instead of the generic colby ridge stuff.

SAVOR. I have no idea why we don't get more Husker stuff (cups, popcorn, hotdogs). Hell Runza wasn't allowed in there at first.

Haven't bought anything Huskers in 2 years! Boring N. That's what kids, recruits, fans etc look at nowadays. Hopefully my son doesn't do what a lot of his friends are doing and that's buying other teams merchandise cause ours sucks ass!! I guess if everyone is happy with 5th and 6th grade kids outside Lincoln and Omaha, starting to turn to Creighton instead of NU then whatever! Just don't come t this board Bichin when you see more blue then red!

I don't care about cups. I do care about media presence and the Nebraska athletic department is amazing at it.

What boring N are you referring too?

We have the iron N the football team pretty much trade marks and we have the block N that on the middle of the football fields and a lot of our athletic gear we wear with OUT the HUSKERS in the middle...

What letter should we use then?

Always good to support all the Nebraska D-1 schools..UNO starts its first D-1 Conference tourney tonight...love these next two weeks of basketball coming up

Since Pinnacle Bank Arena is a city owned facility, the city of Lincoln gets to let the contract for the concessions in that building. I don't remember off the top of my head who has the concessions contract but NU has no control over the concessions. I will say this though I'm glad they went to a free refill practice on the plastic cups, now NU needs to do that over at Memorial Stadium (Purdue does this, they charge $8 and you can refill it as much as you want). As for popcorn I agree the Colby Ridge stuff has got to go.

Dem are fighting words!

Gotta have my cashew chocolate, shark design candy, 3/4 bag of popcorn and diet mountain dew with a bottled water. Eek
To each their own. I have honestly stopped eating at all there unless it is ice cream or water.

UNL keeps the ticket revenue and the city gets the concessions (hell of a deal for the U if I must say so...). No idea who's in charge of the cups and what it looks like. I will say that a slice of Val's at a football game is $3 and in the arena is $5.50. What's up with that?

I would not know. I don't care for Val's... at all.

You gotta like for that response? Good stuff (your response...not the like). Slightly noticeable when the price is almost double and I don't see a pizza oven on site...

This is stupid and wrong. I will never support Creighton, ever. As a wise man once said, "If you have hate in your heart, let it out!"
