Looking at the Riley time period. We have not recruited a difference maker at running back since Ameer left. We have good running backs. But none of them has really stood out or separated themselves from the others. Maybe someone will this year. I hope so. We sure seem to be attracting great QB's and receivers. But there seems little interest in NU right now by any stud running backsI'm not that into recruiting, but I think we've had several running backs drafted who weren't "top flight" coming out of high school. I think you could go through that list and see several who weren't as highly ranked as some running backs we've recruited in the last five years. Or, are you just looking at a window of the last two years or so?

Just 5 schools have had a player drafted EVERY YEAR since 1963: Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, USC
One streak still good. Now need 1 0r 2 more to keep other going.
I think it is a little early to rule out Bryant as a difference maker. The kid is very talented and I will be surprised if Ozigbo doesn't eventually at least get a look in the NFL. Wilbon has the physical potential to make plays and it will be interesting to see if he does this year. IMO, Riley and Langsdorf look at their RBs in much the same way that NFL teams do and aren't worried about a guy racking up a thousand yards. Our RBs are going to look better IF our line stays healthy this year.Looking at the Riley time period. We have not recruited a difference maker at running back since Ameer left. Not ruling anyone out as a potential difference maker. I hope one of these guys steps up and gets it done. I based my comments on what has been achieved so far, not on what they might still do.I think it is a little early to rule out Bryant as a difference maker.
