NU drops to 20th

Seems about right IMO. We've won enough to be in the Top 25, but certainly don't deserve to be any higher right now.

Agreed-seems about right. Some projections had us falling out completely. I didn't see that happening-a 7-2 team in a Power 5 conference usually is going to be ranked.

They've earn it...

I rather like Colorado now that they are in the Pac 12.... Washington my favorite Pac 12 team because of their stadium environment.

Agree. CU is playing much better football than us right now. They're a pretty fun team to watch. And they just might beat Washington if they get to the title game.

Feels weird to say it, but I kinda like Colorado, too, now that we don't play them every year. Culturally very different than us, but we've been through similar experiences with leaving the Big 12. Plus I kinda like the Pac 12, and Colorado is a very good cultural fit in that conference.

But put us in the same conference with Colorado again and I will probably go back to hating them lol.

Now Mizzou and A&M, I won't feel that way about just because I don't like the SEC.

Frankly, I don't get this penchant people have for suddenly "liking" other teams, especially Colorado. I mean you don't have to hate them like you did when we were in the same conference, but it's not like Colorado's fanbase suddenly became likeable and friendly because they moved to the Pac 12. They're still the same people that like urine bombs. What's there to like about that? I don't hate them or like them-I simply don't care about them. I find it fascinating that some people on here in the past for some reason started liking Stanford because they liked how they ran their offense.. How's that Stanford offense working out this year?

It only matters what the college football playoff is....This poll is now a waste of time.

Matter of opinion, but the one that really does matter in the first place is at the end of the year after the Bowl games.

That's what I would have guessed. Frankly it's where we should be right now. Win the next 3 and win the bowl game and we can finish top 15 with a lot of momentum going into recruiting.

I guess I should not necessarily say I "like" Colorado. More like I don't mind seeing them have success and am interested in seeing their progression in the Pac 12 paralleling our move to the Big Ten.

Is that more palatable?

Colorado fans have experienced 3/4 of a season of relative success. They've come full circle and are the same old idiot fans they usually are. They even feel their team sits on the right hand of God himself.

I sense they will see their team lose 2 of the 3 remaining games on their schedule.

Time will tell.

Pac 12 as a whole is down quite a bit this year, gives room for others to rise a bit. I don't pull for cu at all, never will. Been through enough over the years being here in Denver to know they sure as hell don't pull for Nebraska, and when the game comes around in boulder, look out, you'll remember why you didn't care for them again.

20/21 after that showing last night is entirely reasonable. A 3 loss FSU (with an equally humbling ass kicking on its resume) is the only quibble I might have relative to the teams right around us. Go 10-2 and headed to a decent bowl game and we will be in the 11-14 range which will be entirely reasonable.

By the time we play in a bowl game we'll be in the top 15 again. Win that and who knows, but we'll be fine, and end up higher than most Husker fans thought.

It is where Nebraska should have been all along. I realize an undefeated team is going to be high in the polls, but Nebraska was never a top 10 team on paper or anywhere else. At #21 they are exactly where they should be considering their level of play this season. A decent, but not great team.

It is a strong but not terribly difficult schedule to finish the season. If they win those games then they deserve to be ranked 16th or wherever they end up.

I'm not ashamed to say I've always liked Colorado. Not sure why, even my relatives that live in Denver don't like the Buffs.
