Too early. But man I do not want to play W Michigan. Not because I think we would lose but just no upside playing these mid majors. Our players and fans aren't going to be excited and they are going to approach it like the super bowl. It isn't note worthy if you win but if you lose you don't live it down for a decade. Ask Oklahoma

I here ya, but wouldn't it be our luck?

It would be like a swift kick in the nads!!

...didn't A&M lose? Seems like Washington is more deserving of the 4 spot. Oh well it will work itself out.

Congrats to the team, that is a nice achievement for this year, whether they hold it next week or not. I wouldn't have expected it going into the season.

And...we're doing it without having to watch a lunatic roaming the sideline, making a spectacle of himself every game.
I am still suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome. On the Westy DPI no call, I expected our coach to rage, spit, swing his hat, and get a 15-yarder. When it didn't happen, I felt somewhat deprived.

If we were to finish the season 10-2 and not make the B1G CCG, I'm sure not going to complain about who we play if we make it to the New Years 6 when we haven't been to Major bowl since the 2002 Rose Bowl.

I realize Callahan team was invited to the 2007 Cotton Bowl after losing the Big 12 CCG but at the time at the Cotton Bowl lost some of it's luster during that period of time.

Finishing 10-2 with Wisconsin winning out may be the best we could hope for. Although maybe we would get some guys back healthy by the time of B1G Championship, I'm not sure we want to play Michigan. I'll be very pleasantly surprised if we don't lose more than one more game though. This team is just battling the odds with all the injuries.

Honestly, I don't think I could envision a matchup worse than this. I would hate playing a directional school. I want to play a program with some history and tradition.

A lot of football left to be played. In the two previous years, the eventual national champions we're not even in the top 5 when the first poll was released.

Actually, Nebraska's offense will be completely healthy in January. They would blow out any Non Power 5 program this year in a bowl game.

And Western Michigan is NOT Houston. They don't have that type of talent. They did beat Northwestern, who happened to fumble from the one yard line through the end zone, at the end of the game. But that win was a mirage.

If conference politics exist, I wonder who gets the more favorable calls in our game Saturday?

Part of me considers if that is Nebraska.

Sure sneaked up on me!

Why not? Our only loses are the Michigan and a last second loss to Pitt.
We beat Ohio State. Minne and Maryland were both undefeated when we played.

Not sure anyone behind us should be ahead of us. I think it is a fair ranking and about where I thought we should be.

Same with you guys and good luck this weekend!

Even if we lose ...a win or a close loss could guarantee us a Big 6 bowl if we win out.

That's the way it works now..get over it...lol

Exactly...I didnt think they would be talking about us at all when the CFP poll came out....This season has been great...it could change in 2 weeks...so what...enjoy the feeling now, while it lasts.

There is always so much discussion when the first Playoff Rankings come out. I understand it, but there is a ton of football to be played before this thing shakes out. Nebraska was in a pretty similar situation in 2014 before the bottom fell out vs Wisconsin. I still see Nebraska having three tough games left. Minnesota is 6-2 and is playing better, OSU goes without saying, and even though they will probably be limping in to the game Iowa is going to be tough. It will be fun to see how the rest of the year in college football shakes out. There are always some big upsets in the last couple weeks of the season.

Sad thing is we are already on the back side of the season and have only 4 regular seasons left!

Yep, season is almost over.

We would be 4th...Cause that would be a win over a ranked team on the road.....which would be better than anything Washington has done...And we're 8-0

I just made it worse didn't I.

No, it's ok.... (lip quivers).... (starts sobbing)
