It appears that we will not be hosting any Friday night games in Lincoln. It was discussed at the Board of Regents meeting today that we have told the conference that the logistics of hosting a Friday night game are too difficult and we do not expect to be asked to host any. We apparently will not play any more Friday night games at all home or road after this year.

Thursday and Friday night games are played by teams like Ball St who otherwise wouldn't be on national TV. Teams like Nebraska should play on Saturday - always, except for the Friday after TG and bowls.

After all the fan and community support given to NU, it would be a real slap in the face to western NE fans and Lincoln businesses to agree to Friday night games. This is a very wise decision by our administration.

I honestly dont mind an occasional Thursday night game at a place like Fresno St or Wyoming. But major games, conference games and home games are a Saturday thing. Except Black Friday of course. Friday night games were just a bad idea period.

Nebraska doesn't need to play home Friday games. That would kill recruiting for the weekend, revenue for Lincoln, and the fan support.

The road games don't really bother me, but I'd rather just stay on Saturday.

Though I wouldn't mind seeing more big time college football games the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. More kickoff classic type games.

I would LOVE to see a report on the revenue. I totally agree, I would guess that a bar like Barry's makes an extra 20K on a home game Saturday.

5 dollars to get in...5 dollars per beer.
