Teams typically have approx 15 practices leading up to a bowl game

Teams are allowed 29 practices in the summer/fall prior to their 1st game

This program has lost 90 practices - or the equivalent of just over 3 full fall camps as a result of not being able to get to 6 wins any of the last 6 years

When we talk about development those practices become pretty important

Whichever booster advocated for Scott Frost to return year 5 needs to be stuffed in a cannon and shot into the sun.
Frost should have been fired last year but we gained nothing by firing him after game 3. They should have let him roll this year with his offense. Mickey and Whip have given us the same bad product but with a very BORING offense. We gained NOTHING....and lost 15 million bucs. They could have fired him this Friday after the game. We would likely be 3-9 possibly better believe it or not.

There were many. Same boosters that think Osborne actually likes them. Many of them don’t even like the program anymore, and enjoy the losing.

Tennessee beat our ass in the Music City bowl. We started Ryker Fyfe at QB…

I was eating Omaha's best char buffed wings at Oscar's that evening and I 'member that well...but I think there was another opportunity a few years later for us to play in a bowl game??

Each kid that commits to DONU right now and sticks practices 60-75 less times than kids @ Iowa that do the same.

We were close in 2021.
I'm listening to radios sports talk in Denver this morning discussing the Broncos' 7th one-score loss of the season and if Nathaniel Hackett will be fired. Mark Schlereth said "close" is a loser's mentality. Says coaches of these teams are always saying, we just needed to make a few more key plays here and there. He said there is a reason those teams don't make those plays - they aren't very good. Just found it interesting, as outside of money, the "we're close" mantra seemed like the main reason for bringing Frost back.

Kind of ironic, the teams who need the practice the most aren’t allowed to
Honestly, they probably should allow teams not going to bowl games to have a spring practice type workouts. For the exact reason you stated. Teams making the national championship get even more practices. That is huge in an era where the NCAA limits the number of practices and athletes' contact with the coaches.

Agree.

We are one of the worst teams of the major conferences recently. Sad but true.
Yep the whole streaming pile stinks to high heaven top to bottom.

If Trev doesn't get a TOP tier Headcoach then we know Nebraska no longer cares about being a serious program.

Trev should slink off in the night and go hide in the closet with his bud fraud.
