Most of those schools I understand having that kind of money and resources. It was Indiana that stood out as the one that doesn't belong in that group.

That probably includes basketball as well. Not sure how much they reportedly spend on bball.

The whole NIL and portal thing is totally out of control. It needs some kind of rules, contracts and structure. You can't have one year mega deals for players only to move from school to school every year. Fvcking crazy what CFB has become.

I'm sure I'm in the minority but I can't help but think that Haarberg could have gotten us 6 wins this past season with his dual threat ability. Maybe more. His passing looked so much better. I also can't keep myself from thinking that he could be a successful QB at several area big12 or FCS schools. The little bit he played this year his game reminds me so much of watching Josh Allen when he was at Wyoming. We've completely judged him with a crappy OC/QB coach. Will Raiola's paycheck pay off for us long term? Maybe.

The 'collective' is more a wealth thing vs annual payout, a stock vs a flow. I think we are choosing to spend our cash right away rather than save it up, which is why we're lower than some middling programs. Which isn't a bad strategy as: A. We need some positive momentum now, and B. The rules could change at any time, and the savers could be left holding the bag.

These are collectives. Do you honestly believe Indiana and Mich State are oitfunding Phil Knight by 30%? They aren't. These numbers do not include NIL paid to players by an individual or business. Only collective funding.

I don't beleive any of this "reporting" that doesn't pass the bullshit test. Oregon had money to burn. The fact Gabriel is at Oregon while OSU has a mediocre qb tells me Oregon has similar or more money than OSU. And we know what OSU spent.
