NIL and 1890-Top 10 collective

First year of Husker football.

Edit. Technically we weren't named the Cornhuskers till 1900.

Started as the Old Gold nights
1892 renamed Bugeaters
officially Cornhuskers in 1900, though unofficially as a nick name appeared as early as 1893.
gotcha. I was thinking maybe when UNL was formed but that happened much earlier

it is beyond ridiculous that blockhead trev was putting the clamps on coaches discussing NIL publicly

what a dipshit

it's so funny how many people here would've taken a bullet for that moron

Again...Fvck traitor Trev
he did us a favor by leaving

anyone who supported him hates Nebraska athletics and wanted us to remain in the stone age

we are very lucky he chose to accept a new position despite all the absolute idiots (BOR & governor included) begging him to stay. how embarrassing.

just proves how much of a blockhead empty suit he's always been and how clueless the vast majority of "fans" really are

Well I supported Trev as a person a former Huskers legend and as AD. I'm also a huge life-long Huskers supporter and not so huge donor but I do my share.

That said, I can disagree with some of the things that he did or was thinking. You don't have to be all in or totally against someone if you don't agree on every issue.

Dannen is our AD and I support him but I'm sure I won't agree on everything. Cashless hawkers for one. Don't think that'll be efficient or effective. Concessions yes hawkers????

Surprised at Louisville’s ranking

Imagine how much it will spike when Nebraska starts winning. I’ve given a little, but I will massively increase when I see a positive roi
Schools like Ohio State and Texass have unlimited resources and cash flow. Oregon because of Phil Knight. Someone posted that Missouri has some big money boosters as well buying a lot of top talent. Top 10 is pretty good when competing with the heavy hitters on that list.

Buffett is sitting on his largest cash pile ever waiting for a market crash - can the old geezer throw some at 1890

I don't know how they get statistics to do a ranking like that BUT I think if Nebraska makes an impressive comeback competitively, a lot more NIL dollars will roll in.
I'm surprised they have an organization and a chairman. Why?

I see Texas A&M didn’t make the cut. Trev going after their NIL as well I suppose.

Don't say his name 3 times!
Only takes one! Purdue will never compete with that group in NIL, but they are fine. How much does it take to finish top half of the big ten in football?

Outside of losing Scourton after agreeing to a deal, they kept everyone they wanted to keep. Probably would have kept Burks if he wanted to stay, but they weren’t going to pay him a bunch to stay.

Finish in the top half?

God this conference loves not winning.

Didn’t answer my question at all. Your comment has nothing to do with what I said actually.
I mean, when your goal/hope is to finish in the top half of some 18 team conference, you are a farm team.

As far as what record to finish 9th? 4 conference wins probably??

I would think the NIL ranking analysis is flawed because there still are individual NIL deals being struck by individual companies/groups that don't have to disclose either the amount or the contract terms.

Neither answers my question still. How much NIL is needed to finish in the top half the conference consistently? Purdue should expect to finish top half with chances at more. Walter’s is getting it rebuilt.
