Awhile back there was discussion on the type of offenses that are successful in the NFL. It was mentioned how the top offenses are trending with dual threat guys instead of "statues", which I strongly disagreed with. Unfortunately, that thread is locked but since the NFL regular season is over, here's a final recap.

On a side note, I'll just leave this here.
Eli Manning QB rating:
2012 68.3 [#9]
2013 42 [#27]
2014 66.1 [#14]
2015 61 [#17]
2016 52.2 [#27]
In 2014, the NYG went to a "west coast offense", and Danny Langsdorf was hand picked by Coughlin and McAdoo to get Eli Manning right. And, with all kinds of footwork controversy, Gruden had talked extensively about it, it's the best year Eli's had in a WCO so far and his second best over the last five seasons.
Point of the side note, it's up to the players [QB's] if they want to get better, and it's a reason I have a lot of confidence this position is in dang good hands going forward. Matter of fact, it's the least worried position I have on the entire team.
