Nebraska has an NFL draft history that dates back to the beginning: 1936, when Bernie Scherer was selected 13th overall by the Green Bay Packers. Two Huskers have been selected with the No. 1 pick โ€” Sam Francis in 1937 and Irving Fryar in 1984. The full list features some statistical oddities, too: The 1984 draft includes three Huskers who were picked during a special supplemental draft, while two Huskers โ€” Tom Novak and Charley Toogood โ€” were selected in two different drafts. But there's more to discover. Check out the complete list below of every Husker taken in the NFL draft. Click here to see further analysis of some of the more interesting data points and storylines from the Huskers' NFL Draft history.

1984: What a year! For the first time, Huskers were selected with back-to-back picks. Thatโ€™s happened only five times in program history. 1991 also includes back-to-back top 5 picks. Irving Fryar became the second Husker player to go with the top pick in the draft.

1984 supplemental draft: In 1984, the NFL held a supplemental draft in June for teams to acquire the rights to college players who had signed with USFL or CFL teams out of college. Heisman Trophy winner Rozier was selected with the No. 1 pick in the USFL draft by Pittsburgh, giving the Huskers both top selections. He played two seasons in the USFL before spending six years with the Houston Oilers.

1990: 63 Huskers were selected in the 1990s, second most of any decade.
Huskers selected by the same team in the same draft. 1975 includes three sets of teammates drafted by the same team.

Might our streak of NFL Draft picks end this year? In the 5th round now and no Stanley Morgan yet.

Hunter Renfrow was drafted before Stanley Morgan? Doesn't make sense at all. He's smaller, slower, and had half as many receiving yards and only 1 TD this year.

Easton Stick drafted by Chargers. Make it 2 Native Nebraskans not recruited hard enough by NU picked. God Bo and Mike were trash coaches

Is there something besides talent that is keeping him from being selected?

There's a handful of guys that the interwebz are surprised haven't been taken yet, including Stanley. So I doubt there's anything else, just some weird picks being made.
