Andrew White's declaring for the NBA Draft without representation brought up a question in my head. Why do we not see this in football? Obviously the NFL has a unique stance on age and the draft, but is this completely controlled by the professional league? Why can't a CFB player (like Vincent Valentine, for instance) go through the actual Combine instead of just get graded based off of film before then deciding whether to drop their amateur status and begin getting paid?
