Next Three Commits?

I would say between now and the rounds of satellite camps, those would be the three most likely to commit. I think all of them would be quality pickups because of what they bring to the program with their natural abilities and skills. I'd be happy if all three of them were N

Darnay been tweeting a lot about Nebraska lately. Hope he isn't just getting my hopes up. June 23rd decision for him right?

That was my understanding at first, but I think what I've been reading is the June 23rd date is pretty much gone now and his commitment date is "open." I know he's going to do a video with Bleacher Report, and I have also heard of him becoming a hard Nebraska lean. Man, I really, really hope we get him!

Just throwing this out there, the next four after that:

1.) Lenoir
2.) Pickett
3.) Calvin
4.) Otton

If you add in Holmes, that would put us at 17 commits and one of the top 10 classes in the country. I know they were looking to take, what, 20-22 commits? For the sake of argument, lets settle on 20.

That makes, presuming Holmes plays CB and Pickett goes to Safety (as are the rumors):

OL: 3
QB: 1
WR: 3
TE: 2
RB: 0
DE: 0
DT: 2
LB: 3
CB: 2
S: 1

Looks to me like picking up at least 1 DE, if not 2, and an RB would possibly be a good idea. Anyone else have any other thoughts?

In my opinion, there needs to be a bigger emphasis on defensive line recruits. We do not have the same level of interest from elite prospects as we do from other positions. I know it's easier said than done, but after QB, no position group has a better chance to significantly impact the game than the offensive and defensive lines.

I'm pretty confident Coach P will end up with a very solid DL class.

No Question in my mind; we are off to an outstanding start - we have gotten top people we want ( like T O did ). I do believe Coach P will pop more into the NFL and build more from scratch . Net effect; tough Blackshirts, many exciting plays - and eventually faster commits. But we have laid the foundation, for a big jump in performance ( and we just had several players drafted :) GBR.
