His evergreen presence here is proof to the contrary of his belief that our two fanbases “despise each other”. I fully believe iowa fans hate NU fans, but the feeling is far from mutual. We are merely apathetic toward our neighbors to the east.
Speaking of the “rivalry”, I have still yet to see a single anecdote of an iowa/Nebraska fan fight after half a dozen prompts in different threads. Not one!
If I asked this board if they’ve ever seen NU/CU fans fight it would likely be the most replied to thread in board history.

If we want to be optimistic, maybe it’s a good sign for the Nebraska Cornhuskers with Carter Nelson. The top-ranked player in the state will visit Nebraska football this weekend. He was also at the College World Series with Daniel Kaelin on Wednesday night.
Nelson got a couple of projections to Georgia. But none have followed. Notre Dame thought it did well too. Now, it’s Nebraska’s turn and they have to close. Matt Rhule and his staff have done an excellent job with Nelson. It’s time to push for a commitment and at least know where you stand.
