He was nowhere close to being able to be in Lincoln. But, ya...that's on him
RS Soph/Junior Walk on? Don't remember him at all.No idea. But he is working with the 2's at CB. Bringing some fire and not backing down from anything is the word out of camp.

76 seems pretty old to be RS Soph defensive back, but some people have better genes than others.Doubtful, Stovall is 76.

Why bag on the kid? What is done is done. We do not know all of the circumstance, whatever, it is over and we have to move on. I wish the kid the best and would still love to seem as a Husker someday.
holy schnikes. 10.8 ypc . Must be a good athlete.Says RS SO on the roster (Creighton Prep Grad) Listed at 5'11" 185
From Huskers.com bio:
Before Nebraska (Creighton Prep)
Stovall joined the Huskers in January 2016 after being selected from a Husker walk-on tryout. Stovall played high school football at Creighton Prep, where he collected first-team Super-State accolades in 2014 when the Junior Jays took Class A state runner-up honors. Stovall had six interceptions, eight pass breakups, two blocked kicks and 45 tackles as a senior. Offensively, he rushed 75 times for 812 yards and 11 touchdowns, while catching four passes for 58 yards. Stovall also returned kickoffs and punts. As a junior in 2013, he amassed 34 solo tackles and 49 assisted stops, and managed two interceptions in helping the team advance to the state playoffs.

Nowhere did i bag on him.. its a fact. He knew what he had to do to get qualified and didnt get it done.. i didnt wish him any ill will either. It wasnt my responsibillity... or the coaches... i can tell you this i havent lost 1 minute of sleep over this so to say we need to move on well thats what prompted my post to begin with.. in reference to centrals post
Not to bring the thread back to Jeramiah Stovall or anything...but this kid is going to get some PT this year. He went against 1s and 2s off and on all day. On just about every drive he's either the lead tackler or an assisting tackler against the 2s and did well against the 1s. Stovall covered Reimers/Rahn all afternoon and when Tanner Lee was in the game, he seldom threw to them when he was guarding them. For how short we are at the field corner spot, this kid needs to just bring his lunch pail everyday and could earn some PT quickly. Fast forward to these times during the spring scrimmage:
11:22, 11:55 (assist), 13:06 (drives and tackles Tre Bryant 10 yards back), 24:17 (covers a long Tanner Lee pass), 24:59, 43:49, 1:26:55 (covers Tanner's home run ball and shows off some serious speed),
Lamar's early issue IMO was hesitation. He seems to really have the coaches confidence now, you are describing the next stepHe showed more in those clips than I've seen from Lamar Jackson. Hope Lamar is getting his physicality right this fall camp.
