What kind of routes does he run?
If the coaches like him, I like himA zero star boom.
The coaches like JS . . . .If the coaches like him, I like him
That’s one funny post. Spit out my drink a little.Being a DB as well as WR might come in handy. He can break up passes that would have been picks by our QBs.
Zero stars? Is he alive? Does he actually play football? LOL!No stars. Only other P5 offer is Iowa. In Rhule we must trust!
So are you are saying, ”boom”??A zero star boom.
coaches liked Sims too, buddy...If the coaches like him, I like him
They probably still like him.If only the coaches hung out on this board, we’d be 3-0.coaches liked Sims too, buddy...
Just means he hasn’t been evaluated by the services.Zero stars? Is he alive? Does he actually play football? LOL!
In this day of uber-connectivity, the recruiting services and the fat slob dorks they employ have never been worse at their charterJust means he hasn’t been evaluated by the services.
The other site just rated him 86 3 star.In this day of uber-connectivity, the recruiting services and the fat slob dorks they employ have never been worse at their charter
They can’t eval talent for shit
Because he has 2 P5 offersThe other site just rated him 86 3 star.
I don’t worry about star ratings. In this day of uber-connectivity, the recruiting services and the fat slob dorks they employ have never been worse at their charter
They can’t eval talent for shit
Even that is largely self reported outside of official visitsI don’t worry about star ratings.
I’m much more interested in who else is recruiting a kid
It just means our staff is ahead of them. IMO the network of coaches they have gives them an edge over recruiting services. In this day of uber-connectivity, the recruiting services and the fat slob dorks they employ have never been worse at their charter

most people look at the offers which is different than being recruited. If a kid is wanted and truly recruited that’s legit vs the 25 offers listed on sites. Everyone sees Bama, OSU or OU and thinks we beat them out or whoever. If those schools actually recruited said kid 9 out of 10 times we aren’t getting them.I don’t worry about star ratings.

Perhaps he could run through a receiver who was waiting for an underthrown pass and then minutes later run a deep ball pattern that is out of his reach. We have never seen that before.Being a DB as well as WR might come in handy. He can break up passes that would have been picks by our QBs.
I don't disagree.Because he has 2 P5 offers
Nothing more, nothing less
These sites don’t have the breadth to see everyone or the depth to know what they’re looking at
Just dweebs reading self-reported measurables
Unfortunately I like that Iowa offered him, they've been pretty good with evals imo.I don’t worry about star ratings.
I’m much more interested in who else is recruiting a kid
Uhhh
Ya think?
The services are purely reactive
They’re worthless
Exactly. He plays at a smaller school for Texas standards. He’s in a Houston metro of 7million people (3.5x) the state of Nebraska. There’s 30 million in the state of Texas. Some yahoos on the board don’t think there’s any under the radar kids that are D1 material that fall through the cracks?? Give me a break…Worthless is too strong a word. Not 100% accurate? Sure. But they use a lot of metrics to form their conclusions. Offers, visits, interest, measurables, etc (self-reported or otherwise). What else are they supposed to use?
Think about the kind of payroll it would take to actually have an expert evaluate film on every player in the country. And keep it current throughout the season. There are over 1M players on like 15K teams. It's simply not sustainable. These sites also have to make a profit, otherwise why do it?
Evaluating prospects, at any level, is a pretty inexact science and nobody ever gets it right 100% of the time, hence busts and sleepers. The top couple sites get it about as close as can be realistically expected.
I agree if by recruiting you mean actually going after a kid. Too often the focus is put on “offers” which don’t mean anything if the kid cannot even commit to the school.I don’t worry about star ratings.
