I am seeing a lot of stuff about us being soft, weak...giving up. But yesterday most fans and football professionals would have said we are mentally, and physically tough, we just don't have the horses and depth to make up for mistakes against top level teams. This is the same team that won 9 games. We were physically dominated in the front 7, which is no surprise. We have no depth, and little size in the front 7. Iowa's strength, zone power, is our weakness. And their defense, against our makeshift offense was no match. Gap filling and missing assignments is secondary to the fact that our d-lineman were continually pushed into our linebackers. Their lineman were 4 yards down the field before the back was even touched on occasion. This means our safeties had to cheat and that left us open to big runs.
