    Sorry.... No upset predicted.

I think the Huskers might win two matches out of ten.

Tough for me to type that sentence for sure.... On second thought, the Huskers pull three upsets and win on criteria 22-21.

    Iowa's Projected Starters*
    125: #1 Spencer Lee Jr. • Murrysville, Penn. (8-0)
    133: #2 Austin DeSanto Jr. • Exeter, Penn. (10-1)
141: #5 Max Murin So. • Ebensburg, Penn. (10-0) WIN
    149: #1 Pat Lugo Sr. • Homestead, Fla. (12-0)
157: #4 Kaleb Young Jr. • Punxsutawney, Penn. (9-2) WIN
    165: #2 Alex Marinelli Jr. • Miamisburg, Ohio (12-0)
174: #2 Michael Kemerer Sr. • Murrysville, Penn. (6-0) WIN
184: #9 Abe Assad Fr. • Carol Stream, Ill. (18-3) WIN
197: #5 Jacob Warner So. • Tolono, Ill. (10-2) WIN
    285: #3 Tony Cassioppi Fr. • Roscoe, Ill. (11-0)

125: Huge underdog. We'll give up 5/6 team points

133: Huge underdog. If we only get majored I guess it's a moral victory?

141: Toss up. We won the last meeting at NCAA's rd./12 but it could go either way

149: Huge underdog. Hopefully Purrington's length will give him problems but if we keep it to a regular decision--moral victory

157: Underdog here but I wouldn't be shocked if we got the upset. Regular dec6 at worst.

165: Slight Underdog. It'll be close but Marenelli is just tougher. Reg decision

174: Slight Underdog. It would be huge to get this one but I dont expect it. Reg decision

184: Slight favorite. If Venz doesn't give away cheap points I think we win here

197: Underdog. Wouldn't be a huge shock if we found a way to win but loss by decision is most likely

285: Huge underdog. Hopefully we can keep it to a decision.

I hope we dont lose all 10. I didn't think we looked good against Wisconsin and Iowa is head and shoulders better. I'd be surprised if we won more than 2

I hate that your analysis is spot on....... The Huskers arguably have their best team in a decade; but unfortunately, PsycoBirdBrands has assembled one of the better all time teams in my lifetime. And yes, It pains me to type that.

I hate Iowa as much as any man alive so I feel your pain!! At least in years past I knew they would come up short against Penn St./Ohio St. at nationals but this year....I just dont see that happening.

I think they lost some of their mojo during the long winter break.

Badgers definitely out scrambled the Huskers last week..... Which I thought was an area that had been much improved this season, up until the long break.

I am going to trust Manning and Snyder that the break was needed for the grueling 5.35 month season. I don't think the team will look that flat again this season, at least I hope not. Really hoping for some great action in today's dual.

Might be the only team in the nation to hold them to only 1 bonus point match.... I would have guessed a few major decisions along the way (winning by 8-14pts and is worth 4pts towards the team score).

Not only were most of the matches close, but unfortunately several Husker wrestlers gave up the deciding points in the last 30-45 seconds of the match. Could have taken some to OT.

Had we won all 4 toss-up matches from 157 through 184 it would have been 18-14 for the good guys. But, that is why I_owa is rated #1.

How do the guys respond to the Nuttney Lions when they come to town on Friday? Knocking off the #2 team in the nation would be a nice consolation prize after not quite getting it done with the birds. GBR!

--Team score is misleading. Huskers wrestled well at nearly every weight and were close to major upsets at 165 and 174. Tough road environment 12,000+ in attendance.
--Shultz wrestled a hellava match, late TD was balls.
--Red looked dominant v. Murin at 141, will move up in rankings. Impressive.
--Lovett with an impressive 3rd period ride. Scrappy, potential is there.
--Spencer Lee is on another planet right now. 2020 Olympic medalist good.
