Leadoff single to left. Double to left center puts runners on 2nd and 3rd. Next batter walks to load the bases. Next batter hits into a 6-3 DP but the runner does score from 3rd. Next batter hits an RBI double to left center. Silva out to talk to DB. Wild pitch advances the runner to 3rd. Ground out to end the threat.

Placzek actually was called out for batter interference on the steal by Myers. Myers then stole on the next pitch with Wes up

Schlepp with a leadoff walk. Alvarado fails on the bunt attempt and then flies out to right. Schlepp is then thrown out trying to steal 2nd. Lubach then walks. Pitching change for FGC.

Ben is about a foot shy from a homerun but does triple to RC to score Lubach!!! Schreiber singles to left to score Ben!!! Darby pops up to CF to end the threat.

4,798 attendance. Brings the weekend total to 17,083. Sets new record for non conference weekend crowd. Beats old mark of 14,885 set against Alabama.

Seven hits today missing Boldt and Headley who are sick with suspected food poisoning from tailgate dining after yesterday's game. Also got zero hits today from Lubach, Alvarado, Darby and Placzek. Schreiber with three hits and four others with one hit. Thank you, Scott Schreiber. [bowlow]

Jake and Wes with an error apiece but also with a couple very good plays each. Big Ben legged out a triple beyond anyone's expectation. Ben. Can. Run.

I'd be interested to know how many other teams have more triples than homeruns at this point in the season. Blake Headley alone has more triples than the entire team's HR total.

There are a few. Vanderbilt, Navy and James Madison are among the triples leaders with double digit triples but single digit home runs through games of March, 12th. Bound to be others like us but I just checked the leaders.
