And they know what is best for the football program. Not sure why some yokel fans and media folk from Nebraska are trying to tell a winning HC and proven administrator how to do their jobs.

Frost and Moos have a resume that speaks for itself. Give them time and wins will come. If they wanted to explore switching opponents to net another home game to benefit the local economy and athletic dept what is wrong with that?

Oklahoma wants to keep the game in Norman because they are going to reap all the benefits this year from traveling Husker fans.

Again. These guys know what they are doing. If Nebraska wants to beat their rival they should not play. Moos, Frost and the Nebraska program owe the Sooners nothing.

Sweet. Now I can stop paying my mortgage and car payments. Oklahoma didn't care about the million bucks had we not played them anyway. And if there would happen to be a big buyout with Frost down the road, who cares? We don't have to pay him. Sounds good to me.

Frost's resumé shows he has had 4 losing seasons in 5 years as a head coach.

Moos' resumé shows that his two major hires here have a combined record of 26-65.

Gee, you sign a contract with another party and then turn around and claim you owe that party nothing. What happened to values, to midwestern values. I’m astounded!

OU and Nebraska wanted the 50 year anniversary played where The Game of the Century was originally played, Norman, Oklahoma. Are you 12 or have you forgot to take your previgan?

I was thinking they should switch the home and away and play Oklahoma in Lincoln. But then this is suppose to be the 50 year anniversary of the game of the century which was payed in Norman.

WTF does that mean? Please explain ..... and remember, I'm just a yokel from Van Roekel.

It means that they are hurting Oklahoma by not playing.

OU and the city of Norman are going to make a ton of money from the 9/18 game. Nebraska isn’t going to see any of that.

Thats why fans need to let the adults make these decision.

So "beating your rival" means backing out of the contract in order to hurt their economy. Holy smokes .... and you wonder why Nebraska is the laughingstock.

Also, won't Nebraska make a ton of money when Oklahoma visits Lincoln in 2022?

It is almost a comedy. If you do not think for a minute that Frost would rather have a win in the column rather than a bad, bad loss, you are nuts. Of course he would like to play a patsy at home! Moos is in the same burning boat. The excuse that they came out with (late, by the way) of supporting the local economy sounds great, but it was just a cover up.
Get ready for a bumpy 2021 season!!!

Moos got caught with his pants down. That's not surprising. That he didn't have a better cover story - that's kinda surprising. No one with half a brain stem is going to believe that he wanted to cancel the Oklahoma game for the benefit of the Lincoln economy LOL.

You are proving to NOT be one who is authorized to have authority.

The baseball program will win before basketball and fb. The lesser of the “names” of the three hires. But the trajectory seems like it’s climbing at a faster rate.

You realize this poster isn’t really a Nebraska fan..

And he hired exactly who Nebraska fans wanted.....says a lot about how clueless us Nebraska fans can be about what makes a good coach FOR THIS CONFERENCE

Well, to be fair, Nebraska becoming a typical Big 10 West team wasn't part of the sales pitch for joining the Big 10 - the fans didn't sign up for "We're going to stop chasing Oklahoma and Texas and aim to become another Wisconsin/Iowa/Northwestern" (maybe they should have realized that was a real possibility with the move - it sure as hell crossed my mind - but that wasn't what was being sold to them).

There is no comparison between OU and Nebraska. I know you won the 71 game but for the most part NU never beat OU when OU is good. How many Nebraska teams were 9-2 with a loss to OU? Many.

You are correct. NU only beat OU when NU was good. Genius!

i know everyone has a selective memory .. but the record shows during Osborne's tenure

OU and Neb entered their game BOTH ranked in the top 10 - 13 times
Nebraska was 2-11 in those games

of those 13 games - Nebraska entered as the higher ranked team 7 times -- Neb was 1-6 in those games

I believe Devaney was 2-0 but lost to OU twice when NU was ranked in the top 5 and OU was unranked
Solich was 1-0

Osborne was never out coached. Just out recruited. How many times has OU been on probation? 7 times. How many championships does OU have? 7 championships. Coincidence?

i just posted the record when both teams were ranked in the top 10 and when Neb was the higher ranked of the top 10 matchup. I presume the similar rankings would suggest similar talent. Now OU may have been unscrupulous in how that talent was obtained - but the rankings were similar and the game was almost always played at the end of the year with both teams having played a similar schedule

you could inspire a very funny sketch character:

spiteful historian

a person who dedicates large swaths of their life to learning everything they possibly can about a subject they despise for the sole purpose of proving to everyone why they, too, should hate said subject

hilarious!
