Who would have ever thought UConn would be sitting at home watching Nebraska play in this year’s Final Four?

What are you guys doing for the game?

Will Nebraska be hosting some type of viewing party at PBA?

Bars are gonna be packed for sure and I’m gonna be getting ‘warmed up’ starting 6 AM.

For a team that didn't get to the big dance. and two other teams in the state that did, and we just got beat by the same teams in baseball it's hard celabrate Charlie, But I'll try. GBR

I'll be watching. I couldn't even find the interest in the first game so I'm surprised I enjoyed the win over Georgetown as much as I did.

This is the inagural year for this tourney so it would be kinda cool to have the first trophy, imo.

I’m convinced you have some mental issues starting a thread like this.🤪🔫

I'm happy to see the Husker MBB team do well in ANY tourney. Good for them. Looks like a lot of folks dressed in red.

(Wish TBTB could fix the crappy sound mixing, tho)

Go Big Red!!

It’s not success.
You seemed to have different logic when Haarberg was winning at QB against crappy teams.
This is success, just not at the level we hope for. This is excellent practice for the team and you can see them progress. You can see them trying new schemes and strategies. Hopefully this will help us have momentum going into next year.

I like that the Huskers voted to play in this tournament and that they can finish the season with some positive momentum. I hope one of the takeaways is that these are exactly the types of teams NU needs to schedule in the non-conference. None are great but none are terrible, and all have enough talent to force the Huskers to step up their game a bit. Much better preparation for Big Ten play than many of the teams they’ve been scheduling.

I'm moving around well and have nothing to prove.

yea

I'm sure it's better experience than competing in the conference tournament

this is a joke. nothing more, nothing less.

we should be embarrassed.

Good lord…. Emotional lil Kong again. You can not be taken seriously. You had to have been picked a lot as a kid. Or your mental maturity never happened. Maybe one day you will have a good take on here

Drinking game - take a shot every time they mention "hamstring". Bonus shots for "tender hamstring."
We took a drink for every airball. Wife went to UCF. First time we have been on opposing sides of a game. She usually roots for the good guys. Daughter .started game hoping for a tie. Ended game in Husker shirt and .T.O. signed hat rooting for the good guys. Any person out there that can't see this as a win in the short term is nearsighted. Not calling out any losers out there, but they are there. LOUD & proud. On to the next first step in a thousand mile journey. Happy for my 6 y/o realizing her Husker Fandom is real. Takes a village...

In your world, it isn't. But for most people it is.
I would actually say it’s the opposite of what you said. In your world it’s a success, but for most sports fans, it isn’t. If you ask most people if they watched the crown or know what the crown is, they’d probably wouldn’t know or think you’re talking about the Netflix series.

I live in $EC country. Not brining it up at work today. It’d be like bragging about being the coolest kid on the short bus.

But it’s neat for players and some rightfully deserving and desperate fans. Don’t want to shit in their Cheerios. Enjoy it. Just don’t want to make it seem bigger then it is

I'll gleefully celebrate winning The Crown if it helps NU grab a legitimate starting point guard and one more solid wing player from the portal. Put them with Mast and the two transfers signed so far, use the other returning players as bench pieces, and next season could turn into something.

Enjoy the win, but now Fred needs to parlay it into a better roster. Because he's not going to replace Williams and Gary's production with more Eddie Floorburns and Johnny Tryhards.

To an actual Nebraska basketball fan, it's a success. To the high expectations Husker football fan/fair weather Nebraska basketball fan, it's no big deal. In the context of SEC basketball, no don't bring it up but then that is not the context that I am talking about.

I respect the hell out of this post. Like I said, Husker fans should be happy. We don’t have much to be cheerful about lately other than during the off-seasons and a promise of next year. What I hate, hate is guys who over compensate this and make it seem like this makes up for not making the B1G tourney (let alone the NCAA tourney). Then the stupid admin people that run the athletic department go “fans are happy let’s extend a crap coach longer then we should”.

Nebraska fans deserve better.

NU hoops hasn't had much success, the fan base is much smaller and more docile, and yet attendance is fantastic. So ADs seem to have a lower expectation. Or maybe it has more to do with the lack of big money donors who have been amping up the pressure in men's basketball?
