It’s been well discussed on this board (which I’ve enjoyed following) where might Nebraska be seeded in the tournament. Most can agree we will probably fall somewhere on 7 through 10.
There are many possible opening round opponents but the one team I don’t want to see across from Nebraska is Gonzaga. Few hasn’t got over the hump winning it all but he is a master at getting to the Sweet 16. Who are others one might not want to see? Or who would you like to see in that first game?
And then.. who would you not want to see as a 1 or 2 seed across from Nebraska? Right now I would say there are only 6 teams that would be guaranteed a 1 or 2 seeds.. Purdue, UConn, Houston, UNC, Arizona, & Tennessee. Other teams in the running for a 2 seed depending on conference tournaments outcomes would be Duke, Iowa St., Marquette, and possibly Creighton.
We can cross off seeing Purdue in the 2nd round. Would love to see Arizona, or Iowa St. But that would probably mean we are a 7 or 10 seed. Would the committee put us in the same region as Creighton? They love story lines.
