Nebraska 2 point favorite vs Oregon

If they can get their QB production anywhere it's been the last few years they will be damn good. But I love what NU has coming back. I say the spread is where it should be given today's date.

Their defense was crappy last year, they lost Frost AND they aren't sure who their QB is going to be. Oregon has way more question marks than NU IMO. Frankly, if we don't beat them soundly I will be disappointed. Anything can happen I guess. Maybe they find another Mariotta this fall but we should beat them.

I thought Oregon was losing a lot from last years team including 3/5 OL and 6/7 front seven of their D.

Royce Freeman is what truly scares me, but as long as we keep him contained I think we win by 10+.

Of course that's if we stay healthy prior and Oregon's starting QB isn't the next Mariotta.

That link also has Nebraska listed as a 4 point dog vs Wisconsin.

They also don't have a QB that was as good as Nixon last year either.

I'll be disappointed if we don't win this game.Riley himself has to want this game very badly.

Anyone who bets on a fall football game in May either has a terrible gambling problem or they're functionally retarded.
Not saying I'd personally bet this game now (unless juice was +500 for that line). There will be so many different factors between now and then before anyone could make a smart bet.

HOL had an article on Oregon a couple days ago. Sounds like they're replacing quite a few players this year. Should be a good game.

I love the fact we are playing Oregon. It sets up nicely to be a huge publicity plus for our team. Oregon, right now, and despite their loss of starters, is a high profile "big time" team. But it is on our field, we are hungry after last season, we have a lot of talent, and we have the veteran QB who could shine with his arms and legs against their defense. And we have a huge plus in Mike Riley, who knows Oregon well. Don't think for a second that he isn't burning inside to really lay some wood on his old in-state nemesis. I think we win this game going away and hopefully that will really turbo charge our season.
