The west couldn't be more different than the east division. For short, It's fairly obvious the B10 east is its own monster that has 2 of the top 5 teams according to the preseason polls. Penn St could very well be a dark horse in this league and may even play spoiler this year. Then you got Michigan and Jim Harbaugh that could win 8-9 games this year and I don't think you can rule out 9 wins because the wolverine defense will be solid. The one things for certain Ohio St. Is going to come out on top and MSU will finish 2nd. If the west is able to win those tough non-conference games, it could very well be the best division in CFB.

B10 west is the polar opposite. We don't match up with the east with talent or notoriety and it's very difficult to even come up with a situation in which someone from the west wins CCG. It's the definition of parity. Nobody really knows what to expect when it's comes to this division, or for that matter who has the best chance of winning. As of right now its basically a toss up between Minnesota, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. The west division would look a whole lot better if they can win a couple of those bigger crossover games.
