I don't care who your candidate is, I don't, please don't drop any names . I'm curious though, pick one or the other. National title this year, or you get to pick the next President, and you have to choose between the actual contestants. Whadda ya gonna choose?

I'm choosing the President.

Ditto. President. Not even close.

National championship!

With the checks and balances set up by our constitution...... the president cannot possibly screw up the country too much! Vetoes can even be overridden!

Think how many lives could be changed if the Huskers can win another championship and have another decade of relevance. To the victor goes the spoils: money, jobs, respect, recruiting, and money.

Pres, make a difference in people's lives.
Respect your opinion, however each person has the choice to improve their lives rarely do presidents actually make a difference. If you want a better life go out and get it nothing stops you in this great country if you put the work in. If anything, presidents will do more harm by creating more taxes and more national debt with their ideas.

BLAH BLAH BLAH. What's your pick?

Why don't you just ask...

"Which would you rather do...fly the Millennium Falcon or play Qudditch? But you have to be honest, because this is...um...like...real life stuff."

You're on a football message board, a lot. Don't act like you have anything better to do now.

Sorry, I just have to laugh at questions like this. I have an imagination and all, but I don't use it to try to escape reality. My point is...why ask questions that have no basis in reality whatsoever?

I will answer your question one myself...Why'd you open this up? It was pretty clear what it was and I just thought it might be kinda fun.

If we get to pick from anyone, prez in a thousand landslides

If we have to pick from the two jackasses our system has provided us with, NC in a landslide (whichever candidate you pick from those two, 100% of America loses)

I'll go with national championship. Unlike many people, I believe the U.S. is going to be in a great position for the next decade, and the next president will look good regardless of who it is. Russia is on the decline, Europe has been declining for decades, and even China's rise has slowed considerably. The U.S. is still far ahead in most technologies that are going to have a big impact in the coming decade.

President. I would pick whoever gave me the most money. I figure it would get me around a billion. I'd then spend half and buy an MNC the following year.

National Championship. I would proud to be a fan of a NC team. I would not be proud of either of the 2 idiots that will be POTUS!

I am 63, grew up in total poverty where food was a scarce commodity. Went to school, got a degree, and another degree, worked hard, have been blessed to be part of some pretty good stuff that helped others through education. You answered your own statement with your last sentence. Go back and read some serious history of what happened in the 60's with the Great Society push. We are still trying to recover from that. So yea, I get your point (of which you made two - one each way) and I agree with the taxes and national debt, etc. Just keeping us safe was the original goal of our government, not all the stuff we have now we call entitlement. I have worked with enough kids to think I can still make a difference with them - have seen too much of it but it is getting harder for people to make some of those decisions themselves, the government would like to take those over for us. Who runs the schools? Who runs the taxing system? Who runs the media? hmm

That's what I thought in Nov. 2000. But the right set of events and BAM - country run into the ground.

I would choose the President. The President's effectiveness only really lasts for the first 100 days. I really pray that the flat 15% tax change would be the priority. It would be the single most effective thing one could do for the economy & job creation.
