I voted HH. That might not be entirely fair to Sims. Things might be different if his first game was at home against a terrible football team. I also tend to agree that qb turnovers aren't always on the qb. However a good number of the turnovers were squarely his and fair isn't how life works.
Besides the Nebraska kid leads huskers back story is one we all deserve

I would start HH, but still play Sims, if he can clean up the TO’s.

HH, gotta ride the hot hand and he manages the game better than Sims ,ie no turnovers.

HH will only go up from here, IMO. I have no idea how there is anyone still in the Simms camp. Spoiler alert- I watched him down here at GT and he’s not going to get any better. He’s just not.
I will say I voted HH. But talk about an untimely injury for Sims. He had to open up on the road, in his first 2 games, under a new coaching staff. The pressure was definitely more than he could handle. I do believe Sims would have had a bounce back game at home, under lights, against a WAY MORE inferior team. But like I said, an untimely injury opened the door for HH to cease the moment. I'll be waiting until we get back to playing P5 competition before I fully commit to HH.
Sims will either address his turnover issues or he won't be playing much. Haarberg's play should ease the minds of fans. If Sim's first two games were hiccups and not indicative of what the coaches have been seeing in practice, and he balls out in future games, fans should be happy there are two QBs that can play and win, and one of them has two years of eligibility after this season.
I’m not sure it’s going to get better. Simms has had these issues for his entire college career. I wish I could post screen shots of all my GT fans sending messages. I think we need to get HH rolling now so we can have him ready for B1G play.
Do those screen shots look anything like the feedback from G. Tech fans here, from a question posed after the Minnesota game?

If Sims fixed his issues, he's by far the more talented QB and could win you games no other QB on the roster could. But HH doesn't have Sims issues so he won't lose you games you shouldn't lose like Minnesota.
So how much is it worth the risk to try to get Sims to reach his potential? We'll see.

I get where the “if he fixes his issues” stuff is coming from, but this guy isn’t a freshman, and Satterfield is not going to fix any mistakes he’s making. The West isn’t good…like, not good at all. We have a real shot to win some games here if we keep the right players on the field and don’t turn the ball over.
I respect your opinion but couldn't feel differently myself. Saying that Sims has a higher ceiling seems to me to be based on what you think he could be rather than what he is. I actually don't know what HH's ceiling is because we've seen so little of him and it was against a slightly inferior opponent. Sims has lots of games on tape and I believe that the best version of him that makes smart decisions and doesn't turn the ball over is a mirage. This is a building year and I would really like to see what HH could become based on what he did in this single game. I think he could be a monster.

Ceiling is based on raw athletic skills, arm strength, etc.
HH at QB our offense will be limited...or at least it seems that way so far. His throws downfield have been suspect for sure. But, he will grind out and ball control like crazy which is not a bad thing. A good defense though will have a pretty big effect on HH would be my guess.
As I said, I would prefer HH, but just from a pure athletic capability eval...Sims has better tools. He may have reached his ceiling though from a "put it together" standpoint, that's probably fair, but if you can't see the difference in arm strength and "shiftyness" then I don't know what to tell you.
I am even in the camp of "Sims is what we thought he was" and have been since CT was ran off (who I preferred to Sims x10).

Roll with HH until proven otherwise. I do agree with other posters saying Sims started out on the road against two good teams with a new coaching staff, but a good QB is a good QB and you can't make excuses for him.
Shadeur Sanders also started out on the road against a good team with a new staff and found a way to win. That might be an unfair comparison since Sanders has talent around him, but I'm pretty certain if HH started against Minnesota, the Huskers win that game and it may not have been close.

The fans are going to lose it when he starts making huge mistakes. I could take it to build for the future but we really need to win and get a bowl bid. I wouldn't want to be Rhule.
I try to be reasonable and understand where the team is, so I guess as difficult as it is at times I'll convince myself that Rhule really does know what the best option is to win games. You're right, we REALLY need to get to a bowl. I hope Rhule thinks that too.
Maybe the middle ground is that he goes back to Sims but has a very, very short leash on him. I'll still be hoping for HH on Saturday.
Well now whomever it is has even more pressure on him. We need both now 4 sure.
