Realize this isn't a popular subject to bring up, I found interesting. You must also realize to have the most bowl wins or losses you must have to play in a lot of bowl games too.

Of the 53 games Nebraska has played in, 16 of these bowl games were on the opponents home field (Miami Fl) or they were played in the home state in which the bowl game was played in, our record is 6-10.

Riley needs to use this as a recruiting pitch and get the best players!

Kind of a usless stat. Probably more meaningful would be a winning percentage. I would figure those teams playing in a high number of bowls would be .500 or so. It seems likely teams in bowls are evenly matched on average.

Your're absolutely correct.. It's just a stat to look at nothing more nothing less.

1. Cy Young 316
2. Pud Galvin 308
3. Nolan Ryan 292
4. Walter Johnson 279
5. Phil Nierko 274
6. Gaylord Perry 265
7. Don Sutton 256
8. Jack Powell 254
9. Eppa Rixey 251
10. Bert Blyleven 250

That's a pretty good list right there. All except Jack Powell are in the Hall of Fame.

This list is for MLB Total Career Games Lost.
