I think this kid is flying under the radar. I know RB isn't a high priority in this class, but Bryant seems to be a great fit for this offense. In the passing game, he would be a mismatch waiting to happen for opposing linebackers. If things shake out that there is still room in the class in January, I hope Riley and staff offer him.

There many better prospects out there for NU. Seems more like a Iowa back to me. This staff realizes you don't just take an instate player for the sake of taking an instate player.

Interesting comment about Iowa. Even though I dislike them as much as anybody on here, I would trade our backs for theirs.

My guess is that the staff wants him to take a preferred walk-on offer. They have been to some of his games and had him at a camp, if he was going to receive a scholarship offer it would have cone by now.

In the RB talk, I wouldn't give up on TJ Pledger...

It should always be a high priority to get the best RB you can in any class.

Just because all our RB's are all underclass man doesn't mean we shouldn't make it a top priority.
Anxious too see how Jaylin Bradley performs if they don't redshirt him.

Pledger looked good in his first game Friday night. Anyone know if Bookie and him are graduate early guys?

Hasn't Bryant also attracted some interest as a defensive player?

On a related note, three years ago Moses got I believe his first career start against Mount Michael when he was a freshman and their regular starter was injured. Mount Michael put up a decent fight, but I remember watching Moses. Was great for a freshman, but didn't have the greatest speed or decisiveness. It has been fun watching him grow as a football player the last couple years.

Fast forward to last season, you could tell they wanted to rest Moses against Mount Michael, but the Knights kept it close and forced Moses into the game. Holy cow. Just amazing to watch.

He is a heckuva high school player. Only thing scaring recruiters off is top-end speed IMO. If he had legit track numbers, he'd have more offers.

Maybe so that year, but Doug was pretty stud the following two years. He pretty much single-handedly won them the State championship his senior year.

Also that 1982 football defense: Gave up 19 points in 11 games, including 0 points throughout the playoffs.

And that district final was legend.

I know. I was attended every game across the years you reference.

I would be interested to know what makes you say this and why you feel this way. You can say alot of things but at some point your going to have to learn to give credit to Iowa for the things they do well.

The only thing holding Mo back from Division 1 offers right now is his academic situation. Pretty confident he will get that sorted out by the end of the semester.

Iowa does a great job losing to FCS teams.

Iowa does a great job not capitalizing on 11-2 seasons.

Iowa does a great job with their frequent 7 win seasons.

That's all I can think of.

And yes, I know scoreboard favors you right now. Credit to Iowa for beating a 5-6 team and a one legged QB who can't pass team.

Are you talking about Mt. Michael? If so sure, go Knights. My buddy is actually the head football coach there (his first season). If it is wasn't for my wife, kids and job I would have been an assistant coach.

And always, go Dragons.
To follow up, Mount Michael won their game at South Sioux City last night. First debut win for a Mount Michael head football coach in the post-Jim Kane era.

12-2 and our coach had rules that were broke so he held people accountable. As much as I think it was a dumb rule as a fan I like that we don't have dumb stuff happen much and I have to take the good with the bad.

Last year wasn't your 5-7 year was it? Idk, 3 of 4, and we shouldnt have lost the ot game.

Who was nebbys last Doak walker winner?

(OBLIGATORY "SCOREBOARD")

I was wondering if you guys thought there was a different style of running back for each program you were going to discuss not get defensive. Best of luck this year and beat wisky.
