Elkhorn South head coach Guy Rosenberg just confirmed that running back Moses Bryant will be joining Nebraska as a walk-on, with a great chance to earn a scholarship. Huge get to this walk-on class.
"Moses is committing to walk-on at Nebraska," Elkhorn South head coach Guy Rosenberg told HuskerOnline in a text message. "He'll be in strong consideration to earn a scholarship in the near future as long as he follows through academically this semester."
Bryant told HuskerOnline on Monday he's just excited to get the chance to compete at Nebraska.
"I have so much respect for coach Frost, and the coaching staff," Bryant said. "Being at the walk-on event in Lincoln really opened my eyes, to the possibility of walking on, and it showed me that scholarship or not, you have to prove yourself, and no man is going to be treated differently, if you are showing you can get on the field, you will get on the field. I am very excited to show what I have got. It's been a dream come true."
Byrant is ranked as a 5.5 three-star prospect by Rivals.com, and he gives NU now 19 walk-on commits in their 2018 class. That is as high of a number as NU has taken in over 10 years. In 2008, the Huskers announced 18 walk-ons on signing day but added a couple more after the fact.
