The Husker men's b-ball team entered the '91 NCAA tourney as a 3 seed but lost in the first round to what team?

Yep. Xavier is correct! Good job sparky. BTW....

VERY disappointing loss for the Huskers. I had NU in the Elite 8 that year (1991) ! I thought they were that good. Nebraska beat Kansas twice in a 6 day span, once at the end of the season then again in the Big 8 tourney....the same KU team that went on to lose to Duke in the national title game.

Was it '97 when they lost to Maryland in the first round?

Yes that was a heartbreaker for what was probably the Huskers' best team ever. We had great seats at the Metrodome that weekend, and NU forgot to show up.

Would have faced a really good UConn team in the second round and eventual champ Duke in the Sweet 16, so the Huskers weren't going much farther. But still, it sucked to go out in the first round to a #11 seed.
