Who was the player for LSU that hit the 9th inning walk-off game winning homerun that won the 1996 College World Series vs. Miami?

Warren Morris is correct! Incredible moment. I'll never forget it. Gosh, that was 24 years ago. My oh my.

    Good job.

Still get chills seeing that highlight. What a moment!

Edit: That's *former* Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora on the ground.

@MAG you got me looking at the 1996 LSU Wikipedia page. The top of the SEC was loaded as usual: #2 Florida (coached by Andy Lopez, who later won a national title at Arizona), #1 Alabama, and #6 LSU all made the CWS field. Between the regular season and SEC tournament, Florida went 4-0 against LSU... then LSU won back to back games against Florida at Rosenblatt. That's winning when it counts.

And that was in the gorilla ball era: LSU won their regional final 29-13 over Georgia Tech.
