I can see why the national analysts were hesitant on ranking MSU too high too early.

leadoff single, pop up to SS, ground out to SS advances the runner. Meyers escaped a 2 run HR with it barely going foul of the LF foul pole but does get out to end the inning

Pitching change for MSU (So much for that ace) Fish singles to load the bases. RBI Single for Alavardo!!! bases still loaded. Placzek safe on a FC, Alavardo out at 2nd. Placzek steals 2nd. Just woke up and realized it is on BTN. Too bad the 3 year old has Barnyard on TV. Oh well, the computer will have to do.
It was very nice to hear that Meyers had not gotten to a 3 ball count until the 5th inning. That is a major accomplishment for any pitcher.
Big series win. I was hoping to just get 1 here. Continues our dominance of Michigan State in just about every sport this year.
I think what really helps this team is finding a rotation finally with Burkamper, Waldron, and Meyers in back-to-back weekends. All have pitched will enough to be 6-0 since they came back.
Good pitching will settle down the bats a little and allow them to hit without pressing and feeling required to put up 10 runs a game.
