Again, please list all the things we know the coaches did about this so that they look like they're out in front of the story. I've got a couple more hours. Now your just being ridiculous with the post. “Please explain in detail what the staff did in detail”??? Are you serious with this?? None of us know what Frost or any of the coaches did or didn’t do let alone explain in detail. TheBeav, I tend to like a lot of your posts and agree with them but this is just ridiculous. Your acting like YOU KNOW what happened, and what the coaches did or didn’t do. None of us do, my suggestion is we wait and see how this plays out and let Frost do his presser (which I’m sure he will at some point) and explain what happened and what he knew and didn’t know. Stop chopping heads before you know for sure, 100% for sure, what happened or didn’t happen.
You guys don't get it. It's a life crisis for Mo, and it's a PR crisis for the team. Nobody is calling for heads, eff off with that melodrama. They botched the PR on this. That's the point.
The NUMBER ONE RULE of PR crises it Get. Out. In. Front. Of. The. Story. Did they get out in front of it? No they did not.
What's the consequence of that for the Ath Dept and the staff (read: Scott)? Anything they do now or claim to have done is going to look like a C.Y.A. because they got outed about knowing of this since last March. Instead of them having control of the story and saying they took measures because they have integrity and they take all this seriously.
The look that it creates is that they lawyered him up with nothing less than the State AG and then stiff-armed the investigation until after football season. That's a very bad look whether that's what they intended to do or not.
Ever hear the phrase "perception is reality" boys? It isn't, of course, but that's what they're up against.
Will he get convicted of felony child porn? Probably not. Is it still an incredibly weird, stupid, malicious and shitty thing to have done? It sure is. The question is how big a story it ends up being and whether the public demands their pound of flesh.
Fact is people will forget all about it and stop caring by September. Memories are shot and the news cycle is long. Personally I don't mind doing without guys who make me go, "Ugh I don't wanna have to think about what you did but please score a touchdown..."
