They tried sponsoring an additional scholarship a few years ago. Will be interesting to see if something comes of it this time. Like they said in the article, Title IX plays a factor. Reading between the lines, they probably would need to also fund a softball or other women's sports scholarship as well if they fund a baseball scholarship.

I do like the transfer rules at the end of the article. Pretty clear cut to allow players to not sit out a year.
