MLB Draft Discussion Thread!

The 1st Round of the MLB Draft will start today at 5pm CST! Feel free to provide any worthy updates within this thread. It will be an interesting draft for the Huskers. Wilkening may be the only threat to leave on our current roster (I personally think he is gone already). However, our recruiting class will also be one to keep an eye on throughout the next few days.

It will be an interesting draft for the Huskers. Wilkening may be the only threat to leave on our current roster (I personally think he is gone already).

If I were Chad Luensmann I would leave as fast as possible.

Florida with two picks in the 1st 18 picks. One in RHP Brady Singer went to the Royals who many feel was the steal of the draft so far.

Pretty happy with my White Sox pick. Madrigal is a good ballplayer and should be major league ready pretty quickly

Also, Alec Bohm was taken 3rd overall. That’s a local kid I would have liked to see in Husker Red.

Midway through the 9th round and still no Huskers taken. I haven't had a chance to look through and see how our recruiting class is doing but will do if I can find some time today.

Scott Schreiber was drafted in the 9th round, 282 overall.

I quick look through found that no recruits were drafted in the first 10 rounds of the draft. The draft will continue the remaining rounds today.
