Mississippi State's $68 million stadium

Pretty incredible. Hopefully it's time for us to upgrade at some point soon. I like our facility, but nowadays it's falling back to the middle.

I truly envy schools that have a baseball first mentality. Even the school's with great football success will expect the same from the baseball teams in the SEC.

I have often wondered...
if the Hawk's and those, have not had helped to fund Haymarket Park,
would Nebraska Baseball still be at the Buck today?
It is this thinking, that makes me grateful for what we got.

Now. If the Huskers ever truly want to get serious...
let's talk 20,000 seat baseball DOME.
Think of all the Home games, tournaments with more home games,
in a year round tempered enviroment. Sounds Heavenly, no? YES!
Heck, it could even be a backup CWS site for possible weather delays.
Just someone give me their checkbook and watch things happen Smokin

It's amazing to see how quickly what is considered a good college baseball facility has changed. When Buck Beltzer was opened in 1979, it was actually a pretty nice facility for college baseball. 20 years later it was seen as woefully inadequate. Haymarket Park was opened in 2001, so it's approaching that 20 year mark too, and while it's not woefully inadequate like Buck Beltzer was at that 20 year mark, it's not nearly as great or unique among college baseball facilities like it was when it was built.
