Ben Miller leads the team in batting average, 2nd in OB% and 3rd in SLG%. Good bat right? But he's also perfect with the glove. 1.000 FLD% at 1st base, and this with 124 put outs and 15 assists. That's a lot of ball handling.

Steven Reveles' 25 hits has him at a career high .298 BA, but his 41 total bases has his SLG% nearly 200 points higher than that (.488). Revs..., whodda thunk?

Scott Schreiber's SLG% is nearly 300 points higher than his BA (.306/.600). Scott gets bases.

Jake Placzek's SLG% is insane, .658 off a .301 BA. And the bases just keep piling up.

Jake Meyers is our triple meister. Boldt has two of those and Wilkening has one but Jake has four. Should be five but he stretched one of them into a home run. Ha!

Cole Klemke has just ten at bats but his three hits produced four RBIs. Locker room brag right there.

Placzek leading the team with OBP is my favorite stat. The guy is barely over .300 in average but leads the team in OBP at .481, nearly 40 points higher than Miller in 2nd place.

Reminds me of Moneyball, "So he walks a lot!"

"He gets on base, do I care if it's a walk or a hit?"

Kid deserves a lot of credit for his work in the cages during the offseason.

They mentioned his stats a couple times on the radio during the Creighton game: It's rare to find someone batting over .300 but have more walks (24) than hits (22) at this stage in the season.

Ive always thought OBP was a more telling stat than BA. I dont care how someone gets on, you are on. You cant score a run if you arent touching bases.

Agree to some extent. Hits are always better because you can't drive in any runs with a walk unless the bases are loaded.

Of the miscellaneous stats above, it's definitely the pop in Reveles' 2016 bat that surprises me most.
