During this period the Gophers and Huskers played every year but in 1933 and 1953.

Minnesota owned Nebraska 18-3 with only Biff Jones winning twice and Bill Glassford in 1950.

Coach Lewandowsi lost 54-0 in Minneapolis and Potsy Clark lost 61-7 a year later, those were the 2 worst losses during that duration.

They returned to play in 1959 and 1960 and Bill Jennings split the series after that Devaney came to Nebraska and the Huskers dominated the series Devaney winning 8 in a row and TO was 6-0 against Ski-U-Mah.

Interesting. When the Twins and the Vikings started playing in Minneapolis (1961), the bottom fell out on Gopher football.

The program really started to fall in the 1970's. They claim the 1961 National title despite losing the Rose Bowl and last won or shared the conference tiltle was 1967 with Indiana.

My dad is originally from Minnesota and I remember some hard fought wins with Devaney teams in the early 1960's especially the 1964 come from behind win in Minneapolis 26-21.
