give him a little slack. Tommy Armstrong put him and his offensive philosophy on hold. Tommy was the best we had and Riley tried adjusting to his strengths. Tanner Lee will be our QB next year and fits into Riley's mold. If we don't see improvement next season, then I'll be concerned. Until then I'll refrain from commenting on our OFFENSE! Defense just needs better athletes or more depth or both. I'm cautiously optimistic for next season! I do think Mike knows his x and o's.

Dream on! Mike is nice man, but average coach at best. Nebraska will need tougher players if we want more than 9 wins. Other teams In Big
Ten have passed us in intensity and toughness. Iowa has, whose next?
The schedule for the next two years will show if Mike's the right man.

By the time we finished the Wisconsin game, I add a tremendous amount of hope that Mike Riley could elevate Nebraska back to winning conference championships. The Ohio State game fractured some of that hope – the Iowa game completely dismantled it. I didn't see a whole lot yesterday they provided a lot more hope. Closing out with a top 15 or better recruiting class would help, but I'm certainly not holding my breath on that.

Two years in, he has elevated Nebraska football to the equivalent of Bo Pelini in performance on the field. He continues to have coaching turnovers and several question marks about the ones that remain on his staff.

At this point, he looks like the guy most expected he would be from Oregon State.
