"I really believe that because of his leadership, we offer the student-athlete the best experience he'll get in the country," Riley told the Journal Star this week. "The culture is about the total development and getting every part of what you should be getting when you go to college, and still play at a championship level. That's what he nurtures here. It's a real thing now. And I think everybody that works here gets that sense and feels that."
Riley said he's proud of being at a place that is like that.
"I think the trademark for this is that Nebraska does it right, and I think kids are catching onto that."
Compare and contrast - Bo Pelini on December 2, 2014:
“A guy like (Eichorst) who has no integrity, he doesn’t even understand what a core value is,” Pelini told players. “And he hasn’t understood it from the day he got here. I saw it when I first met with the guy.
“To have core values means you have to be about something, you have to represent something that is important to you. He’s a f*cking lawyer who makes policies. That’s all he’s done since he’s been here: Hire people and make policies to cover his own ass.”
“I didn’t really have any relationship with the A.D.,” Pelini said. “The guy, you guys saw him (Sunday), the guy’s a total pussy. I mean, he is. He’s a total ****.”
The dopes who vehemently supported Pelini and bashed on Eichorst through the end - and you know who you are - really spit the bit. It's strange how few mea culpas we've seen.
