How does a team coming off a Natty not have any better options than this at QB? Did they forget to recruit?

Most of the QB's in the portal are not that good, IMHO. They are in there for a reason. You must develop your QB's, hired guns will not work.
That Mccord is doing pretty good at Syracuse.
Because Michigan isn't as serious as OSU in regards to football. OSU ran McCord to try to win a title. Michigan stood pat with a clearly bad qb room.
The X post in the OP is as bunk as a truth social post about Springfield pets.
He was a decent CF QB...../just not up to OSU expectations and knew he wasn't going to be the OSU starting QB in 2024. But I agree with a previous poster, Most (not all) CF QBs are in the Portal because they couldn't cut it at their previous school
There were quite a few solid QBs in the portal and if you are coming off a national title and have the money Michigan should have... you can compete with all the other teams. I think senior transfer QBs would have looked at what Michigan was losing and went other directions, but there were plenty of other younger QBs that they would have had a chance at. I'd be interested to know if they even were shopping.
I don't think a top-flight QB will want to play for Sherrone Moore. His tenure will be very short.
