Michigan finalizes deal with Nike for $174 million

Michigan has finalized their apparel deal with Nike for 15 years worth $174 million. The deal runs through the 2027 season with an option to extend through 2031. Michigan is leaving Adidas to go with Nike.

- Michigan will get $85 million in Nike apparel and products and $88.8 million in base compensation over the term of the contract

- The football and basketball programs will be outfitted in the Michael Jordan "Jumpman" brand, which will make Michigan's football team the first in the country to wear the basketball-inspired Jordan logo

- Nike will also pay performance bonuses, the most notable being $100,000 for a football national title, $50,000 for a national title game appearance, $25,000 for a College Football Playoff appearance and $25,000 for a men's basketball national championship
