Mich state just got there out of bounds

Just saw the replay. Wonder how much we will hear about this one?

The push was more obvious but he barely got back in before catching the ball. One foot in then a catch. It will be interesting to see what the talk is later...

If you actually push a receiver it's pass interference which was called on that play. Luckily for Nebraska it doesn't require pass interference to force a player out of bounds..

That's true but the question is should it have been a catch? He barely got one foot down in bounds then caught the ball, bringing the second foot down in bounds as well. Is that rests blushing oneself?

I imagine it is... But will there be anything said about this? Will Mark May complain that he spent more than 4 steps out of bounds? He sure raised a stink about Reilly's 4 steps out of bounds...

I would assume timing itself will matter most on the call. If it were a huge play that resulted in a win with some controversy attached they would probably make a bigger deal of it. Someone said after our game with them that if the play happened in the first quarter then the fuss created wouldn't have been nearly as much, I think that could be true.

Well put. I think they got the call right. Just curious how it would be viewed. I imagine if there is any commentary it will get chalked up to karma and they had it coming...

Just got forced out call
Good point. As a Spartan we'll take it. In UM-PSU game the receiver also went out of bounds with minimal contact and they disallowed the catch. I think they'll add some language to the rule in the off season to try to make it a little more black and white.

It would make sense.

Looking back at our game and how it ended, I do hope MSU is in the playoff. Would hate for that play to be the reason you're not in. Win out and you're in.

If we don't make it in it won't be because of that one play. Nebraska went 91 yards in 50 seconds, plus came back from 12 late in the 4th. They earned the W.

Thank you. I'm glad to see an MSU fan who is gracious that way. Was rooting for you today and I hope you win out too.
